Privacy Policy

By accessing any DIRE Studio web site or using any DIRE Studio application, you are agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Policy, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing DIRE Studio web sites and applications. "We" throughout this document means DIRE Studio.

No Tracking Policy

We do not track you. Neither web site visitors, nor application users. As a consequence our web sites are cookie-free.

Security and Access Logs

We monitor and log traffic to our web servers for security and traffic management purposes. The logs contain your Internet Protocol (IP) address, along with non-personally-indentifying information that web browsers typically make available, such as the browser type, referring site, and the date and time of each request.

With the exceptions listed below, security and access logs are:

• not used for any other purpose;
• automatically erased after 30 days;
• not disclosed to third parties, or otherwise made public.

Email Correspondence With Public Addresses

We provide public email addresses for the purpose of general inquiries and requesting product support. Emails you send to us will contain your name and email address. We suggest not including other personally-identifying information in these emails.

With the exceptions listed below, emails sent to our public addresses are:

• not used for any other purpose;
• retained for up to 13 months;
• not disclosed to third parties, or otherwise made public without your explicit written permission.

"Report a Problem" Feature

Our applications may contain a feature for reporting issues to us and requesting technical support. Sending a report is voluntary, and initiated by you every time. Reports are sent in emails, and as such you can always review their content before sending.

In apps and updates released after January 1, 2021:
The event log section may contain non-personally-identifying information, such as: make and model names or numbers of the computer or mobile device the application runs on; make and model names or numbers of cameras or other devices connected to the application; and software version numbers. Personally-identifying information our apps may log (IP addresses and device names of connected cameras; folder or file names involved in errors) is anonymized before it is written to the event log.

In apps and updates released before January 1, 2021:
Attached logs may contain non-personally-identifying information, such as: make and model names or numbers of the computer or mobile device the application runs on; make and model names or numbers of cameras or other devices connected to the application; software version numbers; and application diagnostic results. The logs may also contain the following personal information: IP addresses and device names of connected cameras; folder or file names involved in errors.

With the exceptions listed below, problem reports are used only in conjunction with your support request.

We may be unable to serve your technical support request if you decide to avoid sending a problem report, or if you completely or in part remove attached log files or the event log from the email.

Third-Party Sites and Services

Our websites and applications may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services, including, but not limited to those listed below. Information collected by third parties is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.

We sell our applications through Apple's App Store and Mac App Store. Apple does not share any of your data or individual purchase transaction details with us. You can review Apple's Privacy Policy and mangage your data on its Data and Privacy website.

We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, the information you provide will be collected by MailChimp in accordance with its Privacy Policy and Terms. While we have access to your data on MailChimp's system, we do not transfer it to anywhere else and do not use it for any other purpose.

Protecting Personal Information

DIRE Studio takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of your personal information.

We will not rent or sell your data to anyone.

Exceptions

To ensure the security, availability and integrity of our systems, the safety of our customers and the confidentiality of stored or transmitted customer data, we may take countermeasures against humans or robots attempting to maliciously or accidentally abuse our systems, services and applications, or taking part in fraudulent activities targeting us or our customers. We use IP addresses and email addresses (collectively, "technical identifiers") to identify abusive or fraudulent actors.

Consequently, we may:

• use personal information for the detection, investigation and prevention of abuse and fraud;
• keep technical identifiers as long as they are needed to prevent abuse and fraud;
• disclose technical identifiers to third parties, including law enforcement, for the purpose of preventing abuse and fraud.

Additionally, we may:

• use personal information for the detection, investigation, prevention and prosecution of serious criminal offences;
• keep personal information as long as it's needed for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
• disclose personal information if required by law.

Privacy Policy Amendments

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a new version on this website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

Governing Law

Any claim relating to DIRE Studio shall be governed by the laws of Hungary without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
