Volume shutter
Save the current view the same way you take a picture with the Volume Up button on your device! The headphone cable is also supported. iOS 5 or later is required for this feature.
Custom cameras
You can create custom cameras by specifying the effective image size and the lens mount to use. This feature is available only in the Pro edition, Pro Pack, Cine edition and Cine Pack. Please note that Cine edition/Pack is limited to 36x24 mm maximum custom camera image size.
Acquisition formats
Several cameras support recording from differently sized and shaped areas of the whole sensor. Previously these were represented as distinct cameras on the camera list. Now they are grouped together resulting in a more clean camera list.
This feature is also used to set anamorphic recording mode simulation for supported cinema cameras (which includes almost all the cameras that use the ARRI PL mount).

★ Wide adapter requirements were incorrectly calculated for 1.5x anamorphic lenses.
★ Downloading the current day’s GPX log from iTunes while the app is running resulted in a truncated log file.
Fixes for ALPA eFinder and eFinder Tools:
★ Stuck “Waiting for stable magnetic heading” message when bubble mode is activated too fast.
★ Cutout cardboard simulation was not cleared correctly for extreme shift values.
★ Smoother animations for cutout cardboard simulation if shift simulation/parallax correction is active.
2.6.1
New features:
★ Support for the iPhone 4S.
2.6
A brand new module, eFinder Tools, exclusive from ALPA of Switzerland. This module adds two new tools:
★ Parallax correction and shift simulation for ALPA cameras. This tool requires an ALPA iPhone Holder hardware and the Pro Pack module (which is a separate in-app purchase in the Viewfinder Module Store).
★ 3D level that can be used with ALPA cameras or any other camera. Recommended usage is in an ALPA iPhone Holder, but supports freehand use as well. It is a composite instrument that provides an artificial horizon-like pitch and roll indicator, a bubble level and a compass. Pitch and roll indicators and the bubble level can be calibrated for each device orientation to get the most precise measurements possible.
eFinder Tools is available as an in-app purchase in the Viewfinder Module Store. The 3D level requires a gyroscope equipped device, such as the iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4. All results are approximations only. For detailed usage instructions please consult the Viewfinder Handbook (http://www.direstudio.com/viewfinder/handbook).

Album and View Packages:
You no longer have to switch back and forth between Viewfinder and the Camera Roll! Starting this release View Packages and a built-in Album replace the images saved to the Camera Roll.
With the Album you can:
★ Browse just the Views you created with Viewfinder - won't have to flip over family pics any more!
★ Send any View Package (up to 5 at the same time) via email. The mail contains information about the simulated equipment and a clickable map link in addition to the image.
★ Show the View’s location on a map - with your location so that you can easily navigate back to where the View was captured.
★ Import images saved to the Camera Roll with previous versions to keep all the work you did earlier.
★ Export Views to the Camera Roll.
You'll be able to access the saved View Packages via iTunes file sharing. Downloading such a package will create a folder on your computer with a .jpg and a .vimx metadata file in it.
The Album can be accessed via the Extras panel, and via a new function that you can assign to any Function Button.
Additional new features:
★ Viewfinder Handbook Extra: this on-line manual is also available at http://www.direstudio.com/viewfinder/handbook

2.0
ZoomFrame
If you are shooting with zoom lenses setting many frame lines could result in visual clutter. With ZoomFrame turned on Viewfinder always displays the focal length corresponding to the selected camera. It changes as you zoom in and out. You can even turn off frame lines entirely as ZoomFrame also respects the native/selected aspect of the camera. Can be used with or without the frame lines.
Real Lenses (available only in Pro/Cine editions and packs)
Using the real lens data obtained from the manufacturers (instead of the marketing focal length label on the lens) the displayed frame lines match reality better. In this initial release we support the following lenses:
★ Hartblei Tilt/Shift lenses in Canon, Leica R, Nikon, Pentax and Sony mounts.
★ Leica M lenses.
★ ALPA, Rodenstock and Schneider lenses in ALPA mount (Pro edition/Pro Pack only).
★ Zeiss lenses in Hasselblad V mount (Pro edition/Pro Pack only).
Additional new features:
★ New Extras function button. The Modules extra allows you to upgrade to other editions via in-app purchases.
★ Digital zoom goes up to 10x to support ZoomFrame.
Fixes:
★ Changing the camera did not modify button labels in some situations.
★ Setting a fixed lens camera (such as the Sigma DP series and Leica X1) to a button then invoking button setup again caused loss of that button assignment.
New features for Pro edition and Pro Pack:
★ Added digital backs: Phase One IQ140, IQ160, IQ180.
